NEW DVD FOR PSNUG MEMBERS
Novell BrainShare 2005 Session Presentations, Files and Videos.
Cross-Platform is Novell middle name so the presentations are stored in both MS PowerPoint and OpenOffice Impress file formats.
Also, With enough room on the DVD to add all of the OpenCD 3.1
Core applications including OpenOffice, Firefox and Gaim
The Live CD component is now based on Ubuntu 5.10 (the Breezy Badger).
Blender has returned in version 2.37a - good enough for Lord of the Rings!
OpenCD 3.1 includes OpenOffice 2: Base (database), Calc (spreadsheet), Draw (MS Paint),
Impress (presentations-Powerpoint), Math (scientific formula creator), Writer (word processor).
Even more amazing, SUSE Linux Computer Based Training DVD (retailed over $500)
I checked out several of the Brainshare videos and Powerpoints, and there is
a lot of good information on them. The OpenCD has a lot of good open source
programs on it, and the SUSE Linux Computer Based Training is very good too (runs on Windows or Linux).
I highly recommend this CD, Michael Brooks.
